09 / 08 / 2015 - LUSH (LAKESIDE) BLOGGERS EVENT

The new and improved way to spend your Sunday morning...

After spending only an hour there - I have been left feeling inspired, enthused and in complete understanding of why the employees of lush are so energetic, passionate and loving of the company they work for.

This literally looks like a colour storm in a bowl - MAGICAL.

Whilst most people were laying in bed, buried in their duvets, partaking in Pinterest worthy Sunday activity, I was being beguiled by bath bombs and bewitched by bubble bars. It's not every day you get to be consumed by all things Lush, and boy oh boy did I have a good - an AMAZING time.

The reason behind the event was to launch (and celebrate and get super excited by) the new Oxford Street products coming into store. The event was for both staff and bloggers to learn all about the new offerings, including the origins behind them, their ingredients, their uses and to witness their beautiful aesthetics!

The staff were displaying demonstrations for every bath bomb and bubble bar, which was an absolute treat for the senses to say the least! They explained thoroughly, and with much passion, the products themselves; it really was so enticing to hear about the products in such depth.

...I KNOW.

Then once we'd watched the visually euphoric performance from all the bath bombs and bubble bars, we moved onto the soaps, scrubs and moisturisers: passing them around. covering our noses in colour from sniffing too severely, and exclaiming how its a crime they aren't edible. (dangflabbit.)

They even put on a little spread for us all which was so, so adorable!

...I could do with devouring one of those digestives right now.

I think because it was a smaller store, the event itself felt so welcoming and intimate - it was much more concentrated which made it so engaging and exciting. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness was so endearing which was then made even sweeter when they told us we could pick out three products to take home!

We got given a Sales Assistant each as they wanted to deliver us with more of a consultation service, which was so kind - they said they wanted us to go home with products we wanted. We got to choose three products from the new range - so generous - and then I decided to buy an extra item at the end! I had to!

I was paired with the very lovely, very helpful, and very appropriately dressed (she had dressed up as Anna to coincide with the 'Frozen' Bath Bomb - AND she handmade her outfit; what a sweetheart!) Laura - who is actually a friend of Holly's. She patiently listened to my wants - I cant tell you how many times I flippantly argued with myself about what soap to choose - and witnessed my inability to make quick decisions when bombarded with as assortment of wondrous smells and vivacious colours! I then also told her of my past interest in 'Percup' and before I knew it she was massaging my arm with it! #salesassistantgoals

EEEEEEEEPPP!
The event has now left me with a burning desire to transform into a exceedingly regular customer, and to try out more than just the bath bombs and bubble bars: of which Lush are so famous for. Being around the enthused and considerate staff has given me such a thirst to find out more about everything they have to offer and also left me wanting to have 5 baths a day so I can try out all the incredible goodies gifted to us!

And now I'm absolutely DYING to go to the flagship - Oxford St. here I come!

I'd just like to say a huge thank you to the Lakeside Lush store for their generosity, for giving me the opportunity to attend this event, and for providing me with, not only a bag brimming with magic that I can't stop sniffing, but such a memorable morning! Amazing work!

I'll be posting all about the demo's and the products gifted in a separate post, so keep those peepers peeled if you want to see some serious eye-gasmic colour porn!
